A life mentor’s job is to give CCS students an orientation to college life and the TCNJ campus.
The different types of Life Mentors:
Academic Mentor:
An academic life mentor will provide academic support for their CCS student. The mentor will encourage and possibly tutor the CCS student in CCS specific courses. The mentor will also assist the CCS student’s academic transition to college-level coursework.
Campus Mentor:
The campus life mentors will assist the CCS student’s transition to college life. These mentors should make an effort to engage the student in campus life activities such as dining together and participating in campus organizations/activities.
